Some great news from down under! Sullivans Cove Whisky remains at the top of its game as reported in Executive Style:
Below is a link to the Master of Malt Review of the whisky. It’s a great review, which notes that the whisky was finished in French Oak Port Casks imbuing it with fruit like qualities. Also mentioned was that the whisky harnesses a dark chocolate flavour, so if you’re lucky enough to get your hands on a bottle I’d recommend after taking your second or third sip have a bite of some dark chocolate to really release the whisky’s flavours and aromas. In fact, you can do that with any whisky which tastes like chocolate. I picked-up that little trick from watching Master Blender Richard @the_nose Paterson; you can watch him on our Facebook Page showing a first time whisky drinker how to sample the drink. With respect to the dark chocolate, try it at home and post your comments either here or on our Facebook page. It’s a lot of fun to try new things together and discuss our results! In Canada Sullivans Cove whisky is available in Alberta and is out of stock in Quebec. Looks like the rest of us will have to be patient unless we know someone who can post us a bottle. Hopefully some of our other readers from different places on the globe can fill us in on this whisky’s qualities and particularities.
